Pathways for a safer, more connected village.

The Elm Grove Pathway Project supports a safer community

We are a group of concerned village residents promoting pedestrian and bicycle safety, safe walking and biking routes to neighborhood schools and parks, and a more walkable community that can better serve homeowners and businesses.

Pedestrian deaths in the U.S. have reached their highest level in 40 years. Between 2019 and 2022, deaths of people walking surged 18%, or 519 additional lives lost.

Drivers struck and killed an estimated 7,485 people on foot in 2021 – the most pedestrian deaths in a single year in four decades. The percentage of speeding-related pedestrian crashes involving children more than doubled in the previous three years.

Let’s build pathways together for a safer, more connected Elm Grove

If you are in favor of building pathways along major arterial roads - Highland Dr, Juneau Blvd, Gremoor, and Hollyhock - in Elm Grove please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the village, signing our petition, or purchasing village apparel. Every little bit helps!

Our goal is to raise $150,000 to kickstart this initiative.

Pathways fall under the annual transportation fund budget. The transportation fund includes roads, bridges, and pathways. All money donated to the pathway project will go into a designated fund and will be pulled into the transportation fund as pathways are built.
